I asked if I could get their value on a store credit and she said no. Is this true? | no, it's not. the money is returned to you in the same manner in which you paid, so you will get 98 cents in cash, and the rest on a money card. tell her it is the red card that is only used for returns, not a gift card. then say- if you don't know how to do the return, please call someone who does. and if no one in the store knows how, call 1 800 shop cvs and they will talk them through it.
it may need to be rung up as a "return, no receipt". that is how page 10 of the employee handout tells them to do it.
