Wow. I will say that is well worth the time to read. Cuzisaidso, kudos and so many thanks to you for all of that information. I was just thinking yesterday, that it is going to take me so long to learn how to do all of this. With your help (thanks again, I know it took up alot of time) I will be able to start doing this in no time.

Thanks again so much.

No questions are dumb questions! Yes, you should be able to use one manufacturer's coupon per item. So, if you are buying 4 bottles and have 4 coupons, it shouldn't be a problem! Good luck!

Can I use the coupon on just the 2 boxes (1 paid 1 free) or do I need to get 4 boxes (2 paid 2 free)? Thanks for your help!
It depends on your store, but, you should be able to use $1 off 2 on the BOGO sale. CVS will sometimes even let you use 2 coupons, one on the "paid for" item and one for the "free" item. Example, if you had 2 $1 off 1 coupons, sometimes you can use both in a BOGO deal. Just depends on the store...

However, I got the $2ECB....so what does it mean I still need to pay 5.97 to Earn Reward?? Does that mean I can go get 3 more Suave and get another $2ECB?

Same this with Colgate, I bought 2, got $5.98 ECB, but it says Quantity to earn reward 1. Quantity toward this reward 2.

Confused, please help???
You may want to visit Seedlady's Wagon Train thread. The last page answers this question. If I knew how to link I would, sorry. HTH!

I tried to register my new CVS ExtraCare card online today (I just got it yesterday afternoon.) The website said the number was not asigned to anyone. Has anybody else had this problem? Does it just take awhile for the number to get in the system? IF so do you know how long it takes?
Thanks

Nope, you have to use it ALL. Otherwise, you will lose it...

I would call customer service and find out what's up. You need to register your card online under your Extra Care account ASAP, as CVS emails coupons and sometimes $/$$ almost every week.

This way the negative money isn't being used on high priced candy. I may have to through in a few cents here or there if I don't have the right ECB combo ... but I figure that is OK. I always get way more than my moneys worth at CVS.
the way you are doing it works ok as long as you don't mind paying more for your order.

if you pay with ecbs, they remove the tax, and then the coupons pay the tax.

when you reverse it, the coupons pay down the order, then the ecbs pay for the order, and then you pay for the tax with your own money.

but as long as you don't mind paying an extra dollar or two each order, your way is fine.

i just figure mine to try to have a total bill of 25 cents or less. ( i messed up today and had to pay a dollar thirty four- and i was ticked. i did the math using 2.99 for toothpaste, instead of 3.99, so my bill went up 1.08 over my math.) i paid it and pouted.

Default Re: CVS For Rookies 101

Newbie here... Many Longs in Nor Cal are becoming CVS....
suppose i took on some promo and have a $20ECB, in order for me to use that, my total on the next purchase would have to be > $20 after taxes right? as anything less than that i'd "wasted"

if that is the case, wouldn't it be more beneficial to have multiple ecb than a high valued one? a question related to this... Wag has RR that says quantity of items purchased must be > quanityt of rr/mf. Do ECB work like this or i can buy one $10 item and use multiple ecb/mf that adds up to 10 and whatever tax rate my state charges?

for those promo that state, limit 1 per household, i would need to use different cvs card to get the ecb that would print out right?
thx
