Make friends with the employees!! They will even clue me into good clearance deals if I miss one. Be nice, but firm, when checking out. I don't want them dreading it when I come in. It makes all of our lives easier!

My tip: I try to do most of my shopping early in the week because at our stores markdowns are done Monday and Tuesday mornings. I purchase the items I need to get ECB's then search the isles for fillers using the clearance items and coupons for those.

Oh I forgot another tip! I split my items up in my cart into groups then put the coupons and ECB's on top of the individual groups so that I know what goes with what and dont forget any coupons and can get the full amount of my ECB.

I set my orders up with coupons and lists before I go. I put them in the front of my coupon box, and I always take me coupon box because they always have stuff marked down and you wouldn't want to miss the free haircolor or shampoo.

I don't want to be entered into the RAOK, but:

ALWAYS watch the screen when the cashier is ringing your items up. Frequently sale items do not get entered into the system correctly (i.e.- the twizlers candy this week) and it is much easier to catch something when it happens then to have to come back to get your money back!

Use your $/$ off first, then your ECB's then the manu q's last...the manu q's are allowed to pay some of the taxes which will lower your oop, you just have to figure your prices before getting to register so you know about how many ecb's you'll need to use

transfer a prescription to cvs as soon as possible.....it would even be worth it to get sick so you can get one.....go let sick people cough on you !
the 30 dollar gift card lasts a LONG time when you only spend 6 or 9 or 50 cents per order.

I ALWAYS shop with a calculator at CVS! I need it to calculate each order to the nearest penny under $1 so that I am out less cash. I jot down prices of sale items that I want, then tally them up to use up one of the CVS $x off $xx coupons. Then I deduct my coupons to see how I can use my EBs to get my total as close to under a dollar as possible. Sometimes I have to play around with my items by moving them from one transaction to another, or I will have to add something small like a candy bar to up my total. I also try to only buy things that I need AND are on sale with a coupon.

The best way to use $2/10 CVS products is to find a B1G1 sale on CVS items such as trash bags or ziplock bags. Then, the retail amount (before the B1G1) counts toward the $10, you get to use your $2 and the B1G1 rings up. I often get 8 packs of quart size baggies for $8 (retail $2.50 each) and of course I buy them with ECBs on a week there are no good opportunities to roll ECBs.

Edit by mod: This is very YMMV. Some stores may require you to actually purchase $10 of product to use this coupon. They have every right to refuse to count the free product towards the $10.
