| Re: CVS -seedlady's wagon train (a guide for newbies.) this is how i work out the coupon thingie. i take the actual coupon, and i lay it on the product.
so, to my mind- imagine you have a stack of b1g1, and 3 or 4 of the $2/2. now i get a cart, and set 2 stayfree inside. i say- ok, i BUY this one, (i move it to the other end of the cart) so i get THIS one free. i put the coupon on box #2.
then, i put 2 more bags of stayfree in, and i say- ok, i buy this one, and i get THIS one free. and i set the coupon on bag #4. now i have 4 bags, and 2 have coupons on them. so, i lay the BUY TWO coupon across the other 2, and i'm happy. that's how i work it out. each bag HAS a coupon, and no coupon covers too much or too little.
if the second coupon was buy ONE and get a dollar off, i could use it with a b1g1 and a purchase of only 2 bags. but because the second coupon needs a purchase of 2, i go ahead and use another b1g1 on the extra bag i had to buy to use the 2 dollars off.
does that help? ( my lips move while i'm working out deals. once i start talking to myself, i bail and go buy what's in my cart. but i allow lipmoving!) :)

look for a big ole hairy 4 foot by 10 foot banner hanging on a wall, or on the outside of the building. sometimes the ads say so. or, phone and ask. all i know for sure is, it works for me. so, go cough on your kid!
cough, zm- not spit! |

Originally Posted by nunu Hi Folks, I'm a newbie- been CVSing for about 3 weeks. Seedlady, what I don't get is how you all always have such low OOP and high amounts of ECBs. I've done several great (for me) transactions, where my OOP was $1.58, and $2.49, but how do you consistantly do those .48 etc transactions? Today I went to 4 different stores, made a total of 6 transactions, and spent OOP $37.24, got $140.17 in merchandise. Now I know it sounds great, but I can't afford to do this every week! It seems to me that when rolling the ECBs the total of the ECBs I have just keeps dropping with each transaction instead of building up. For example, I started the day with $6, now I have $2, and a candy deal that will be completed when I spend another $4.50, to get $5 ECB. I just can't seem to make it work any better. Any suggestions? | sure- don't buy things that aren't moneymakers!
don't ever just randomly throw junk into the cart- their regular prices are way high.
i am trying hard to close out an account that has my name on it. i don't like the cashiers to call me by name. so i figure i'll switch to one that says i'm "valued customer". i had 12 dollars in it, spent it down to 9, and today i spent the 9 and got back 6. i bought olives and tuna with the extra 3 dollars, so i'm happy. it looks like in 2-3 weeks i can empty this one. i have another account started that will be used at this store, but i want to dump one before i switch over.
i've been spending bucks and not getting any in return, so i'm down to maybe 30 or 40 bucks left. it's not like the old days. |

Question is on combining coupons.
Can I use a CRT with a RIB with a Manufacturers coupon?
Thanks for your time. | an offer at the register is ALWAYS a cvs coupon.
coupons from rib can be either cvs or manufacturer.
the absolute top limit is ONE cvs and ONE manu per item.
so, you have to check which kinds you have.
( you can use one that starts with 4, and another which is either 5 OR 9 , per item.)
clear?
