Re: Would you drive 45 miles (one way) for CVS deals? Personally I would not - but it's because the deals at CVS involve ECB's that expire in 4 weeks. I would worry that I couldn't get out there often enough and/or find products often enough to be able to "roll" the ecb's enough to make it worth it.
Also, gas is a big consideration. In my car I get about 32 mpg - last time I filled up, it was around .12 a mile for me. At 45 miles, that would be $5.40 one way, so $10.80 per trip. And that is in a car with good mpg -- if you get a lot less, of course it's going to be more expensive. So I would want to be able to save at least $10 per trip, which may or may not happen depending on store stock and such. |
