cvs---Am I the only one NOT getting coupons from the printer ?

Glad I am not alone on the No coupons for you today from the scanner. I too am getting NO email coupons other than the online ones...I'm not picky about what I get but man I'd sure like to get something (home mailer, emails, CRTS). You know just to remind me that maybe CVS does care (at least about my money I have no doubts that is all they really care about).

Sometimes I get nothing at all, the last trip I only got 2 cvs brand. I've had this card for a few years and used to get great coupons. I got a $5/30 about 2 months ago but that's it.

This has happened to me another time when I was going only once a week and spending very little. If I stop going for a few weeks or spend some cash (fill a script etc.) then the coupons come back but it's still never as good as it used to be.

I never get emails and I've only gotten 2 surveys on the advisory panel.

I've been shopping at CVS since they opened here in the summer. I have never gotten a coupon for products other the CVS products. I have received two or three $/$$ coupons. Never anything on the bottom of the receipt except my ECBs.

Two weeks ago my mother received two 3/15 and one 5/30 on the same day!

I got nothing but stupid stuff for months and months, then I got ONE $5/$30 and a $10/$50 early last summer- now I get $1/2 pretzels or nuts, $1 cookies and $1 pain reliever every time I go for the last 6 months.

I get emails for offers on CVS.com (no thanks) 2-3 times a week.

I got one spat of beginner's luck - a $10/$50 a few weeks ago, no CRTs yet. At the scanner today I got the same ones as I did yesterday - the cookies and the pain reliever. They're really trying to push those CVS products, aren't they?

As tempting as it is with that 4% back, I'm gonna pass on those.

I haven't gotten any at the scanner or on my receipt since December probably. I haven't gotten any $/$$ coupons in years!

I have a theory as to why the scanner machines are no longer giving much in the way of good $X/$X.XX. I just realized that a lot of newspapers in the areas of Longs conversions are offering $5/$20s weekly. At first it was in the Sunday edition, now it is in on e of the mid-week papers.

My theory is that these coupons come out of CVS's advertising budget and they statistically estimate the usage and allow prints at the red scanner machines or at the bottom of your receipts accordingly. However, NOW, with all the newspaper coupons, the usage obviously is going to be WAY UP (or CVS hopes so) in the areas where CVS is "new". Let's face it. They have to wooo customers who have been loyal to WAGs and or Rite Aid with SOMETHING to get them to come check CVS out. This leaves a lot less money for distribution of the $X/X.XX in other areas of the country.

I bet when the new conversion areas stop offering these on a weekly basis in the local papers, people will see them appearing again in the red scanner machines and at the bottom of their receipts.

I don't really know. It's just a theory.

i havent gotten anything period since my lil update. Yuck! i think i'm about done with cvs anyways. To many other great places to shop!
