I have learned a lot from reading about other posters transactions--so here's a good one for me:

The magical $2 ECB:

Went late Sunday afternoon to CVS. Scanner blew me off: "no coupons today". But lots of the things I wanted were in stock and hardly any other customer was in the store.

Collected my items, picked up the ads, and went to the chairs by the pharmacy (I think I read this suggestion in Seedlady's thread--thanks, Seedlady!). Looking over the only ECB's I had, $1.98 and $4.99, here's what I worked out with the coupons:

Trans 1:
crest pro health 2.99
coupon: - .75
ECB: -1.98
subtotal .26 ; plus tax-- oop .33; get 2 ECB's

Trans 2, 3, and 4 (rinse and repeat):
vaseline lotion $3.69
coupon: - $1.50
ECB: -$2
subtotal: .19; plus tax-- oop .31, get $2 ECB's

Trans. 5:
2 herbal essence hyrdal. shampoos @ 2.79 ea= 5.76
coupon: - $3/2
ECB: -$2
subtotal: .76; plus tax --oop $1.01, get $2 ECBs

Trans. 6
renuzit triscents $4.99
phys. formula (clearance) eyeshadow $1.99
renuzit coupon -$4
PF coupon -$1
ECBs -$2
subtotal -.02; plus tax-oop $.31 (but no ECB's back)

So with a $1.98 ECB and $.33, $.31, $.31, $.31, $1.01, and .31 oops ($2.58 total) and some manufacturer coupons, I was able to get 2 HE shampoos, 3 Vaseline lotions, one Crest Pro Health toothpaste, one Renuzit Triscent, and one PF eyeshadow!

So then I decided to get the Phys. Formula bronzer and use the $4.99 ECB:

trans 7:
PF bronzer: $14.99
coupon: -$1
ECB: -$4.99
subtotal $9; plus tax oop 9.65, got $10 ECB

I have not been getting the good $/$$ coupons, so for me, this was a good trip to CVS! I only had to step aside for one customer when doing all the transactions. The cashier was friendly and seemed to enjoy watching the low oop's ring up. I know when I have built up more ECB's I can make this even better!

Today I spent 1.89 oop mostly for tax and here is what I got.
5 bottles of Pantene shampoo/coditioner 3.33x5=16.65-10=6.65 (5x2q)
3 Pantene treatments 4.99x2 +3.33=13.64 free q x3
1 jumbo pack Pampers cruisers 8.99-2q=6.99
1 4 pack Duracell batteries 5.99=free wyb $25 P&G products

also used 5/25 q and 8.47 in ECB got back 6ECB. Very cool transaction. Now I still need to the Febreeze deal. I need one more 5/25. Maybe I'll wait until tomorrow.

LOL! We had DD (4) and DD(1) with us.

Im a very lucky lady. 90% of my shopping the girls are with me. I know they can handle going to 4 stores in a row after that they are done


Yesterday we went into a CVS that we dont normally go to and the lettering on the outside was blue. DD (4) said Mommy we are going to a blue CVS

My oldest son will be 3 in October an calls CVS the "magic store". It took me a while to figure what he was talking about until I was checking out one day and he found a receipt somebody had left and tried to give it to my fave cashier (who he calls his friend) and told her it was "magic money". I always tell him coupons are money, I guess it is sinking in!
