Default Dr. Pepper part of Pepsi deal?

I was at my local CVS today, bought 4 12 packs of dr. pepper today. I used a rain check I got last time they were on sale.
printed up at the bottom of my recipt was $3 ECB, it said "for having purchased Pepsi"

don't know it it was intended to be part of the deal, I checked the ad and it didn't show Dr. Pepper tho.
(that was the only soda I got too)

just thought I would share...

Default Re: Dr. Pepper part of Pepsi deal?

Dr Pepper is not officially a part of COke or Pepsi. In many areas, one or the other is contracted to distribute DR Pepper. Where I live, it is Pepsi, and is included with our Pepsi sales. Where my sister lives, it is Coke. HTH

I got two Dr. Peppers as part of the last Coke deal. However, the cashier just scanned them all in as Coke since she said the system wouldn't recognize the Dr. Pepper as part of the deal. I thought maybe it wasn't a Coke product, but it was located at the endcap with all the other Coke products. But, I think in my area whenever there is a Coke deal the Dr. Pepper is included with it.

I bought Dr. Pepper yesterday for my deal and got my ECB's. but it was marked at my CVS that Dr. Pepper, Sierra Mist and Pepsi were all included. Luckily my CVS does a great job of putting up the shelf markers.

maybe it was a glitch on my store's part cuz out here in Texas Dr. Pepper distributes their own stuff. I am almost positive I have seen Dr. Pepper delivery trucks. Waco isn't too far away from us, only a couple hours drive.
Dr. Pepper is in EVERY restaurant I have been to here. It's like the official non-alcoholic beverage of the state of Texas. (well that and sweet tea)

anyway, it was a nice suprise. I wasn't expecting it.

That's strange! Dr. Pepper is part of 7-UP. I've never heard of it being distributed by Coke OR Pepsi!

In my area (Pensacola, Florida) Coke guy delivers it but it's owned by Cadbury. Don't exactly know what that means but sometimes it's included and sometimes it's not. It's hit or miss here.

Dr Pepper is a 7-Up product here in Michigan too.
