Sometimes ( ok, ok a lot ) I find myself going into my pantry for no other reason than to admire my stock .

lol...no not at all. I do that sometimes too. See I have no space for stockpile! I really wish I did. Once we get to where we ahve like 3 bedrooms...and a PANTRY...I will be really really happy!

You are not pathetic. That just reminds you what a smart shopper you are and how blessed you are to have a stockpile. It reminds you that you don't have to pay full price. If you are pathetic, then I am there with you in the pathetic club. I call my stockpile "the mommy store" when I give something to my daughter. She likes shopping at the mommy store for free.

I don't admire my stock (since there is really not that much) but I have a horrible decision what to use next. This morning I needed some new body wash. Hmm what a decision, Dove? Softsoap? Jergens?

Okay go for the Dove. Now another decision what flavor.....

Took me ten minutes to decide which one to use.

DH calls our pantry my "Trophy Room". Admire on Girlfriend!! Like PP said, it just means you're blessed enough and smart enough to shop like a Pro and there's nothing pathetic about that!!

There's absolutely a feeling of well-being that washes over one, looking at that. I think it's biological: You're taking care of your resposibilities as care-giver to your family. Your stock is just proof that you take this resp. seriously. I LOVE that feeling!

*sigh* my hubby doesn't understand... oh, he appreciates the stockpile, but he would appreciate it way out of sight... We have a tiny apartment, and I finally confiscated space in the front coat closet for my stockpile. He didn't like that idea too much, but at least it's out of the bulky rubbermaid tubs that used to sit in our kitchen/dining room area.

I gave up trying to pick something... I just reach in and grab. I get a nice surprise each time. LOL.
