I heard a rumor

that at the beginning of the year CVS stores were instructed to take all expired CVS coupons if presented (but didn't have to tell the customer that they can take 'em).

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I was wondering if there is truth to the rumor. If so, that will make me a very happy camper!

I actually had this converstation with a manager yesterday. He just told me they could accept expired CVS coupons but not manufacture.

Yes...one of my managers said that they would take them. I am tempted to check on the others. Those 5.00 photobook coupons will come in handy in july when they are free after EB...add those in with the 3.00 MFC, they are a complete moneymaker!

My 2 main stores take ALL CVS expireds - ECBs, CRTs and printables. However, there is one store in the same district/region that will take them if you ask (so basically for their frequent customers), and another 3 that won't take expireds at all. Bottom line - it's the manager's discression as to if they want to honor them. Best to have a friendly chat with the manager of your favorite store and find out what their policy is.

I talked to one of my managers and she said no to the expireds. But there is one that will...I need to ask my 3rd! Hopefully he will take them. I love going to that store!

Only 1 or 2 of my 5 CVS (3 different districts) stores will take expired ECBs and then only if within a week.

NONE will take expired coupons.

I definitely think its a YMMV situation..which store/cashier/manager you happen to get that day, at least it is in my short experience

I was told if it printed on the bottom of my receipt they would take it no matter how old it was.

I heard my cashier tell another customer, "We can take expired ECBs if they're not 'too' old." She didn't say how old is too old.
