FYI Gainesville,Va CVS

I went to get the water and a few odds and ends yesterday. I was talking to the nice cashier and she said that they are changing the coupon acceptance policy for this store. They were VERY good with taking Qs. I asked why...

She proceeds to tell me that a woman came in last week with 35 "copies" of the same Q. I asked if they were inserts. She said no just the original and 34 copies of it. Some were colored copies some black and white. She said they actually went to the copier there and "produced" these q's just to be sure!

Now, why would someone do this? This store is wonderful except for one shift mgr. I just don't understand why people have to do crap like this.

I certainly don't think this person is a user here, but just in case!:

Lady,

You cannot get enough free stuff without using COPIES and commiting coupon fraud? Take your crap to another location. There is a Rite Aid opening up down the road!!!! Are you the shelf clearer? Are you the same one that is stealing the crest white stips? They know who you are. I'm sure they are watching for you!! It's just a matter of time chicky. So don't ruin it for all the HONEST customers.

OK. off my

Have a good DAY!

Are you sure these were copies of an insert coupon? I was accused of copying some IP's. Some were in color and some were in black and white. I had used different printers. I definitely didn't copy them, but they were sure I did,

No not insert. That is why the cashier took them in the first place. She thought they were internet q's. Which the original most likely was.

I have a feeling these weren't copies. Most likely she had friends/families/etc print the coupons for her. Hence why they were in both color and black & white. If she just wanted to copy them, I doubt she'd go the extra mile to do both color and black & white. I think this is how rumors get started and why people have such issues with internet printed coupons.

Yes, I agree. I have been (wrongly) accused of copying IP's at both CVS and Wal-mart. The employees (and managers) were certain I had copied them even though I pointed out how the numbers were different on each coupon! It is very frustrating. I had printed some at home and some on my parents' color printer. Neither store would accept them.

Ok, what I really want to know is what on earth she bought that she needed 35 coupons for? My CVS is lucky to have more than 3 or 4 of any given item! :)

And yes, it's quite easy to tell if it's copied or printed from the net - the internet q's all have different numbers.

I too have been accused of copying IP's even when they had different expiration dates (which I pointed out to the cashier).

Unless it's a PDF coupon. Is there a way to tell if a pdf isn't copied? They all have the same number.

Well as I'm sure we are ALL aware, there are many lengths that people will go to,to get things for nothing. One example of this is the Battery Q that was used until there wasn't a battery to be found in CVS for miles. Another is the super stacking issue or how about having 10+ extra care cards.

I am not starting any rumors. I am tired of people like her abusing the system. I wait until Sunday morning to go do my weekly deals, I use Qs exactly as they are to be used and I follow the rules. When people like her show up and scam a certain store, they are suspicious of all things, and make it really hard on couponers in general.
