JULY specials not activated???

NONE of the july specific ECB specials unless they were IN this weeks flyer were activated today. what a pain. they said try back tuesday.

I think the earliest they're activated is the day before the next month begins.

I thought it might start today since they had some monthly deals in the ad...So, I'm with you in being a little disappointed.

My stores, even the one that usually activates the Sunday sales mid-day on Saturday, never have the monthly deals activated early. So I figure the July stuff really won't start until July 1.

My stores didn't even have the July ECB flyer out yet. They gave me one when I asked but said the deals wouldn't be activiated yet. I'll go Wednesday morning.

The July ECB offers will start printing on Tuesday, July 1. The only time there is an exception to that is when a deal is listed in the weekly book, then it will generally start either on that Sunday of the week or the Saturday evening before in stores where the activate weekly sales early. Also, every once in awhile someone will find a random deal working early that isn't listed in the weekly book, but that is pretty hit or miss.

*And* I have found out the hard way that even when the 1st of the month is on a Sunday, the monthly deals will not start the Saturday night before in stores where the start the weekly ads early *unless* it is also in the weekly ad. So I do not count on trying to get monthly deals early.

Stores do not generally put out the monthly ads early b/c then they would have to honor the deals, and it would cost them money out of their own pocket to have to hand you cash out of the register or give you a gift card b/c of their 'advertised' deals not working. Some stores are nice enough to give some of us the monthly books early so that we can 'plan' early and ask them to order extra stock if needed. :)
