I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I just wanted to thank everyone for all the threads full of advice. I made my first trip to CVS today. I bought over $50 worth of products, after coupons I spent $21 oop and got back $18 in ECBs. I know most of you could have done it better but for my first time I am excited! And now I have ECBs to play with on my next trip so my next oop can be paid with the change I find in my husband's laundry! Again, many thanks to everyone!

oh, you will have so much fun ! and, you kind of have to fund it right at the start, to get your first bucks.

note that the bucks expire in one month- and then they are gone. so, plan to use them, and as you wander the aisles, look for things you could get, if you had to suddenly spend a whole extra care buck, and there were NO deals.

just to have something in mind- if you get sick, or if you get a big one and you only need part for the deals. they carry underwear, and some shoes, and nuts and treats, chips, eggs, all kinds of cold remedies.

the sales seem to me to run on a 3 week schedule- like pampers, huggies, house brand. kleenex, scotties, house brand. so, if you are brand loyal, buy your brand the week it is on sale. if you are not, get whatever is on sale the week you need it.

I am enjoying all of this CVS info. I went for my first time the other day and was like a kid in the candy store. I had to have the cashier find my Listerine though, as it was not shelved well. This could be quite addicting!!

I call this my "mad money" and occasionally, when I walk past my hubby, I shake the change in my pocket. He just laughs. No longer do we pass a nickle in the parking lot... even the kids know what I can turn a nickle into!

Thanks for the great advice! I wouldn't have any problem spending them if they don't have any good deals to roll them over. I have to smack my own hand every time I walk past the lotions and body scrubs! I can always use them to buy things for my Christmas gift baskets if nothing else.
