And no, I don't mean with looks! *L*

I had a $10 ECB that was expiring today, so of course I had to make a CVS run. To my surprise, they had ALL of the monthly deals in stock, plus a ton of the Colgate Total toothpaste that I had coupons for. Needless to say, I did some quick planning, and managed to have my total come out perfectly to the amount of ECB I had...so $0 oop. The cashier was like "Seriously, I'm amazed. That's incredible. Do it again...you know you want to. Do you think you can do it again? I don't think it's possible." So I told him I would take him up on it if he would give me some leeway with adjusting my ECB down...he said "ok, but no more than 10 cents!". So off I went to unload my stuff, see what coupons I had with me, and headed back in the store. When I got back up to the front, he had to adjust it 6 cents!!!!! He was like "OMG, that's amazing. You know, next time you come in, just get want you want, and just wave on the way out, cause I know you'll have the coupons to pay nothing! We'll just start giving you everything!"

He was just so cute, and made it so much fun to shop. He's kind of obnoxious sometimes, and I don't usually want to broadcast that I'm getting paid to shop there, but I just couldn't resist the challenge!!

LOL! That's fun! I didn't get to visit my favorite cashier today since I was filling prescriptions.... I sure enjoy being paid to shop!

LOL, I had to check your location to make sure you weren't talking about my cashier. It sounds exactly like something he would do. Most days he just says "So, how much are we paying you today?"

I try not to return the friendliness too much. I keep a poker face throughout the transaction, and when/if the total comes out correctly, if the cashier oohs and aahs, I'll give a quick smile without saying anything. Other times I'll just say: I buy the right items.

The reason I don't return the friendliness is because there's some resentment or jealousy in all that sweetness. Even if you don't detect any, it'll make itself known after they've seen what you can do a few times. In other words, they're not really our friends.

This kid is all of like 16 or 17, and just reminds me of the class clown type of person. The whole time in there he was keeping his shift manager laughing, and was just a total goof for all the customers. I think it's such a nice change of pace to see someone actually enjoying what they're doing!!! It definitely makes shopping there a lot more fun when you don't dread checking out! *L* I used to not really have a favorite cashier, but he's quickly becoming a favorite!!

Exactly! I had another fun guy tonight at a different store. I seem to be doing well with the younger guys....hmmmm, maybe it's my new hairdo!!!
