I dont think the two are the same...If I recall correctly from Suze Orman the FICO is the "official" score.
I applied for 0 percent card,I got my transunion credit score along with my paper work. I was floored as I have had credit cards over the years and never got my credit score with any of them. I called the number in the paper work and was told its a new law,and I would not be charged, has anyone ever heard of this.
Is my credit score the same as my fico score and if its high from transunion does that mean its high with the other two credit reporting agencies?
Thanks!

there were originaly 3 different bureaus, and tranunion was one
i worked credit few years back and transunion was the worst about updating their records.
thanks!!
It's another phase of credit card act provisions that went into effect back in 2009. When you apply for credit and are denied you now get the real reason and score why you were denied instead of a bunch random reasons. It's still debatable if the score if fake or from my fico. But people from a credit forum I am a member of are leaning to the score to be from my fico.
We just got a copy of our credit score recently when my husband bought a new truck. I got to tease a little because mine was slightly higher. He had a couple of small loans that are just in his name. Most of the time we do it in both, so I can have credit too.

Yeah, its part of the Card Act. Just because it is high with one bureau doesn't mean it's the same score for the others. I have seen as much as a 100 difference. Most places use Transunion. It is the most popular.
