Default Im addicted to earning rewards points...

Most importantly, I do pay off my balance in full every month.

Ive tried to do "cash only" but in the back of my mind Im thinking about all the "cash back" I could be earning for purchases I have to make anyways.
Its so bad Im thinking about it when making small (under $10, which I usually dont throw on the card) purchases with cash.

Its usually gas, auto-pay for internet, phone, newspaper subscription. Never groceries, I wont stick to my budget.

Hey, if you can get something back for purchases youre going to make anyways, why not right? right?

We use our card for whatever we can get on it even if the charges are under $10.00. We rack up the points very fast. I don't see anything wrong with earning rewards as long as you pay back the balance each month. I'm on top of it and pay twice a month. Also, we rarely ever carry cash.

We have earned free cruises, airline tickets, etc. These things we would have paid out of pocket for and with rewards you are getting something back. So, it feels free and is if you pay the full balance off.

These cards are not good for those that live beyond there means or get carried away with credit card purchasing.

I have two Chase cards that don't limit the number of payments that you choose to make in a month. Every week or two I pay the "balance." That way I don't face a HUGE balance at the end of the month and meanwhile think that I have tons of extra money to spend just because my bank balance is larger than normal.

It really helps me to keep the overall balance under $200. Doing that, I don't mind chargine small purchases.

We've been doing this for years. Always pay it off every month and get gift cards and for the Kroger card I get the FREE groceries checks!

Yes, but it's a normal credit card that can be used anywhere, you get rewards for every purchase but more rewards when you use it at Kroger, if that makes sense. I usually get $10 in free grocery checks every 3 months or so. Not a ton, but every bit helps!

Me too! I love this card. No fees and every single time I call, the number rings directly to a person- no waiting, no automated prompting service, no hassels or horrible elevator music. Excellent customer service!!! The points are super simple to redeem too. Not to mention my APR is under 10%... even though we pay it off every month.
