Rewards Points

For those of you that have credit cards with rewards points.....

Have you ever paid off your balance before new bill was issued and didnt receive the points charged?

We've done this before but I never paid close attention to whether the points still were credited or not. I'll have to go back and look. Can't believe I never thought of to do that.

I have done this but believe I did receive my points for the month. That would be pretty sneaky of them to not give them to you (but of course I wouldn't put anything passed a credit card company).

Hmmm, thats exactly why I ask (theyre sneaky and trifling like that). I didnt see anything in the agreement/fine print about it.

No, you get the points on the total amount you purchase, no matter when you pay the bill. However, points earned on returned items will be deducted.

i have paid before it was due, but after it was posted to the card. I do mine online, and once it is posted to the card, then i receive my points.

Which credit card? I pay both Chase and Discover pretty much when it posts, and I still receive the points.
