Re: Fees for paying on time or "inactivity"
Sorry I saw it on the t.v. today so I didn't have a link to share.
I can't see them doing this only for people who have in the past paid their account in full and not used it. I would think it would be for all account holders
I just get sick when I think how people work so hard to pay down their credit cards and get out of debt and now boom -sorry you're back in debt again!

Re: Fees for paying on time or "inactivity"
Here's the one I read: Latest bank fee is for paying off credit card on time every month - USATODAY.com
As far as the govt getting involved, too much govt involvement is what has led to this. They are now unable to get money out of the people who they used to: ie, the people who ran up credit for things they couldn't afford. Now they are going to have to get money out of people who have been using the cards for convenience or to earn rewards. I am annoyed, because this will affect us (we always pay our balances in full); however, my annoyance is not with the card companies in this one. They are in business to make a profit and there is nothing wrong with that! If the govt didn't decide to get so involved in business then the card companies wouldn't be forced to go in this direction.
(Not trying to turn this into a political discussion or slam on the Democrats. The previous administration was also too involved in business decisions.)
