    Credit cards with 0% interest

Our credit card (our only debt except for our house) had no interest until Jan. I forgot to check for the finance charge and sure enough the interest has kicked in. I had been throwing away all those credit card offers and now wish I had been watching for the new offers with 0% on transferred balances.

With the economy tightening are those credit card offers still available? I just haven't been paying attention. We have great credit and usually get great offers.

It has been wonderful to pay down that balance by not having to pay interest. The one alternative of course is to call the company and tell them we will leave them if they don't give us a better rate but zero is better!!!

Great site!!! Thanks. I think I found just the right one.

Do those "cash rewards" come on's really pay off ?

I've always been afraid to "charge" all my groceries and utility bills etc b/c I think it can be just asking for trouble sometimes. In spite of my best intentions ....ya know? Any good reports of this working for anybody????

Honestly, if you carry credit card debt, a rewards card is absolutely not for you. Right now you should transfer to a no-fee, 0% interest card and not charge ANYTHING, work on paying it off before the 0% expires.

Here is a credit card with 0% for 12 months, no annual fee, and no balance transfer fee. HTH!

There are lots of topics on this forum discussing rewards, BUT:
if you carry any balances month to month rewards will be eaten up many times over by interest charged, berlinsmommy is absolutely correct.
Plus if you still afraid of overspending pay up whatever balance you have left ASAP and try charge as less as possible, leave your card at home when you go shopping. Never ever justify your charges as reward generating only, credit card charges is your money spent, not bank's.
If you are asking about app-o-ramas and sign up bonuses I have a feeling it may bring you more trouble then good. People who was able successfuly "play" with such offers watch status like a hawk, while you said you realized now, end of March, that it started accruing interest back in Jan.
