I got my baseball sleeves at the Dollar Tree store.
I got my binder pages at this site: www.the2buds.com. They have reasonable prices and you can get all sizes to fit your coupons:

I have been using the briefcase method for about 4 months and I'm LOVING it. It's the best thing for me.

There is a method to my madness
just curious - I currently have 2 - 3 ring binder organizers with baseball card inserts. one is food, one nonfood, simply b/c i accumulated way too many coupons...anyway, i hate having two seperate binders and the 5 inch zippered jobs are too expensive. I was considering getting one of the CD storage cases, they hold like 500+ cds and are 7 inches thick. Anyone use this or have comments on how it would work? Having them all combined in one case would be awesome, just don't know how the cd pages would do...
The only way I can keep them organized:
I have a file cabinet where i keep my inserts. After I pull them out and cut them, I have a Ziploc baggie for each store that also contains an envie in it. As I am shopping, when i find the item that i fave a coupon for, i take it out of the baggie and put it in the envie. That way when i get to the register, all of the coupons that i am using are now in the envelope, so i hand them all to the cashier.
I've tried other methods, but then i end up handing the cashier coupons i haven't bought products for (b/c they were out of the product) or missing a coupon somewhere!
Since I started organizing (and reading from this board) I've gone from a small coupon folder, to a plastic folder and finally to a portfolio style binder. But, I may have to opt for the suitcase too since everything seems to be expanding! LOL!
Does anyone use either of these? Found on Ebay:

The zippered binder with the clear pages looks like it would be hard to use to me. Feel free to convince me otherwise.
Also, if anyone has outgrown something similar to the ones I posted above, I'd be happy to buy it from you.
I wouldn't personally go for either one of them. You outgrow them quicker than you might think.
I just have a regular velcro-closed binder with baseball insert pages. And it cost way less than both of those!![]()

I'm thinking it may be time for me to move to another system. I had a small index card box when I first got back into coupons. I rapidly returned to the big, red box I had used before. It's made for 4x6 cards and is about 12 inches long. One thing I like about it is that it has a slider in the back that I could adjust when the box wasn't completely full of coupons. (To Ms. 6months: I would recommend this type of box over a plain shoebox because of the slider. I got the box at an office supply store years ago.) Well, after getting 4 copies of the 6 inserts from last week, the box is full. It's not jam packed to the point where I can't get any more in, but it's close.
I have twice tried the "just save the inserts then clip as needed" method. It doesn't work for me. I would rather spend the time at my leisure to cut and file the coupons than to spend the time right before shopping to find the insert and clip the coupons.
I am considering a binder system. Can any of you binder system folks give me an idea of how many coupons one of the binders fits? You all only put one coupon (and its duplicates) per slot, yes? I have on the order of 900 unique coupons right now (~2600 total). Baseball card pages have 9 slots per page, right? That means 100 pages (or 50 if I use both sides). How big a binder is appropriate to contain those with room to grow? How many will the 5-inch binder hold?
Do you find that the baseball sleeves hold up well or do you need to replace them frequently?
One thing I like about the index card box is that it's easier to slip the coupons into the right section when filing them. I can do it one handed for the most part. I think the binder system will take longer to file the coupons in but may be faster to deal with in the store.
No. Take a look at post #2 in this thread.
I have all Kellogg's coupons in one slot, all Bread in another, etc. No way would I have 100 pages in the binder-- too heavy. My sleeves last about a year of heavy use.
