I just started but I am interested in getting more involved. I have about 1000 coupons on my table and have no idea how to use them. Is this extreme coupon real? I can't figure it out and how to apply these to each other with out just .35 one one and 1.00 on another. they make it seem like you get things for free.
It's for real, but it's higly exaggerated & it's becoming more & more unlikely that any store would allow such. In fact, many stores are bending their rules to allow TLC to film their shows, leaving folks with the impression that anyone can just walk in & buy 3549093753 bottles of Gatorade & walk away with a gift card from the overage while the cashiers stand around & applaud them.![]()
Last time I had a cashier come anywhere close to applauding me, I had to duck cause my face was in the way. Jus' sayin...'
But you can still save plenty.Start with separating your coupons into 2 piles. Coupons you KNOW you'll use cause hubby or daughter must.have.it & coupons you'd be willing to use if the price was right. Once you've done that, you can organize into categories, putting those you'll use out front, by exp. date & those you may use behind them...also by exp. date. Organizing is not only a way to keep it all straight, but it also burns the image of the coupons into your brain so you know better what you have & then when you see something on sale you'll know you have a coupon for that.
Then, start checking those sales. And start reading all that you can around this site.
