Help with organization of couponing
I have been couponing for quite a while, but for some reason I still have a hard time and seem to spend so many hours on it, that I'm not sure it's worth it. When I look at different stores specials, many of them have the same items on sale at the same time. Then, when I compare the store prices they differ so much on the same item. Also, the savings will depend on what the original price was before their sale price. So, then I can't decide which store to go to, because some items I need are better at one store and other items I need are better at another store.
My question is, is it better to just stick with one store and their specials or try to go to different ones? Is there one store that is better overall then the others?
Maybe I'm just slow, but it's consuming more time that I have trying to get the best deals from so many different places.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

That is why you need a price book. Just get a composition book, and list your most common grocery items, and then make headings for each store you shop. Keep your receipts and use that as a reference.
And yes, go to more than one store. Route yourself.

Re: Help with organization of couponing
It is time consuming in the beginning. Do the best you can and maybe go to 2 stores. I'm at the point where my stockpile is full and I may shop 5 different stores in a week but buy only one or two items per store. Quick in and out.
