Thumbs Down Feeling a bit down

Spent an age picking through coupons and matching sales, and then when it all rang through, I ended up saving only 25% :( I was hoping for better than that.

25% is better than paying full price. that is a great start. dont worry, in two or 3 weeks you will be seeing alot more savings.

this is definately a part time job.

I agree. It does take time though. Hang in there it will come.

25% is awesome!! The more you coupon, the more you'll see that sometimes, you will have really great shopping trips and others will be just okay. The point is...you are doing your best to coupon and save. You should feel great about that! If I may...I suggest keeping a savings journal for a year. Tally up your savings at the end of every week {or, if you're like me...every month} ;) and write down the date, store, number of coupons you used, the amount you saved, and calculate the percentage you saved. At the end of the year, you will be amazed at how much you actually shaved off your shopping costs by using coupons!! I started this last year, and it keeps me motivated to go on a "treasure hunt" for coupons and see what kind of "treasures" I can find!!

Don't give up! You're going to have great weeks, ok weeks and maybe some not so hot weeks. Even if you only saved $5, that's $5 you can use next week for something else. There is definitely a learning curve and trust me when I tell you that saving 80 or 90% on a regular basis is not realistic.

I know what you mean. Yesterday even with doublers I was only able to save $3.00. I have a lot of coupons. Coupons for products I want! But I can't find the products. I was even going to donate some things to the food bank because I had really good coupons that would have made things free with the doublers but that store didn't carry that brand.

Saving something is better than nothing at all. Save your receipts and add them up at the end of each month-I bet that will make you feel better. Or get behind a lady that spends $200 on nothing at LF like I did earlier this week. Don't give up!
I had sanity once upon a time I promise . It was just so long agoooo that I can't remember it.
