confused about coupons and food stamps?

yes you can! depending on your state you may have to pay tax but most states don't do that... you can make those food stamps stretch quite far with coupons!

What non food purchases can you make with food stamps? Just wondering....We recently got food stamps because my hubby got laid off but it wont last long :( cuz hell be getting called back anyday now which is great! I use coupons with my food stamps...I was able to save over $200 bucks on $500 which is awesome...It would have been more but we were rushed and we did shopping for stuff that didnt have in the house and no coupons for lol but it helped alot and really stretched our money...Its our first month ever using food stamps and it will prollie be our last lol

you can buy seeds with food stamps...that's it as far as non-food goes....or as my caseworker explained...."they do not cover anything you can't put it in your mouth "
which to me leaves a bit of wiggle room....toothbrush for example :)

What is funny is you can purchase vinegar, baking soda, baking powder type things..and yes technically you eat them..but not something I tend to snack on LOL...

Oh and yes you can use them for seeds for food you will eventually eat! Yummy!!!!!
