I need help with excel shopping list
Ok So I am trying to create an excel shopping workbook. What I have done is create a worksheet tab for food items, one for household items, one for health and beauty items, etc… On each of those worksheets I have listed all the things I normally buy. I have also created a separate worksheet for each store in my area (one sheet for shaws, one for stop & shop, one for rite-aid, etc…) What I want to do is go onto my food worksheet and say, for example, I need onions, and shaws has the cheapest price on onions, I’d like to put shaws in the store column next to the onions and have it auto populate into the shaws worksheet. I’d like it to bring in with it, the other columns included with the onions (like how many lbs, price, coupons, etc…)
What I’d love to be able to do is go into my “food” worksheet and plug in all the info I need for that weeks shopping trips and have it auto populate the corresponding stores worksheets. So I can just print out what ever store I am going to. I’m guessing it’s going to be an “if(e12=shaws) then...” type of formula, I can work my basic way around an excel spreadsheet, but this is beyond my capabilities.
I am not sure if that makes any sense but I’d love any help you can offer. This is actually the 1st of many questions I have in regards to setting up this spreadsheet. Thanks in advance everyone!
PS: I am not sure if I put this in the right place on the message board, if not I'm sorry. Please feel free to bump it wherever it belongs. Thanks again!

Re: I need help with excel shopping list
I wonder if just filtering on the "food" page would do all that you want without taking it to another "store" page?
Just in case someone doesn't know what/where that is up on the top where it says File, Exit, View, etc. there's one that says Data, click that then click autofilter. Each column now has an arrow by it where if you click on the one for the column with store in the top, then click on the store you want such as Shaws, then all items that have Shaws in them will be displayed.
Do you think that would do it for you without having to create formulas?
