Default Coupon shopping and Brownsburg, IN???

    Hi All,

I have an old friend in Brownsburg, IN 46112 that would love to start using coupons regularly. While I have experience with q's in my area, I am having a difficult time figuring out the best stores to send her to in her area. She has a Kroger, Marsh and a Wal-Mart within a reasonable driving distance. The next town over has a Meijer. Seriously, her options appear limited from what I can see via the internet.

While looking for her I sure have learned how much our fav stores vary regionally! In my area Kroger is a fav for coupon users. In her area not so much... Wal-Mart appears to be her best bet so far. In my area, Wal-Mart is typically the last place I would go for the best deal on the products my family uses regularly.

    Thanks for any advice!

I live a few counties to the east of her. I personally prefer Meijer. The Kroger stores around here are getting so strict with their coupon policies. Meijer for the time being is still pretty easy. I have a Kroger and WalMart in my town, but I prefer driving the 40 minutes it takes me to get to Meijer. I save so much more there even with the gas it takes to get there.

I am 45ish minutes east of Brownsburg. I have Kroger, Marsh and Walmart in my area and a Meijer that is a bit farther. I coupon most at Kroger (then CVS and Walgreens) next would probably be a tie between Marsh and Meijer because they both double and have loss leaders. Walmart is really last on my list. I go there when I read about mm I can't pass up or for a handful of items that dont have coupons or good sales often.

Sometimes Southport, sometimes E Washington. I live SE of Indy, way, way out. Of those two stores, East Washington has the better coupon policy because coupons between 50 cents and 99 cents double up to a dollar. But, they are really not good about keeping the shelves stocked on loss leaders. It isn't just coupon match ups, it's pretty much anything that is a good deal. When you live way out the whole raincheck thing is just annoying, gas is expensive. Sometimes I PM at WM when Meijer doesnt have enough good stuff in the ad or if there is none on the shelf. I usually only go there once a month or if we need something from Kohls or the Greenwood mall.

I go to the Southport store too. I also go to the Greenwood one. I didn't know about the E. Washington St. policy. I will have to remember that. I don't really like going up there though.

Yeah, I prefer going South, too. But, if the sale or coupon is just right, like say a 75 cent coupon for a 10/10 deal....and the moon and the stars align at just the right spot so you find the stuff on the shelf It's not the best area....those apartments right across the street are, well a little scary to me.
