If you buy alot of an item, and do not plan to use them immediately, go ahead and at least open one box, etc.

There may be a good coupon printed inside the box.

I had 10 boxes of an item, and when I finally used one, I discovered a coupon inside, but it had expired.

Great tip! Another thing I do is combine boxes if possible. For example, the Betty Crocker Fruit Leather things have 10/box, but at least 15 can fit into one box. When you combine them, you can fit more in your pantry.
