Finding groceries on sale?

The grocery items I have coupons for, never seem to be on sale.

I'd prefer the item to be on sale when I am using a coupon.

Can you give examples? Might be able to help narrow down a sales cycle.

Patience is a virtue when it comes to couponing. Sometimes you will have a coupon that you can't find a coresponding sale on but there will be ALOT that you can if you just wait a little while. Once you get the hang of sales cycles you'll be better able to kind of predict which coupons will benifit you the most at what times of the year. And if you get a good stockpile then it will be easier to see a coupon expire when a sale doesn't match it because you have enough on hand to last until the next time it has a coupon & sale.

sometimes it works that way with some coupons, but as previously posted, learning the sales cycles will help you alot.

I am buying things on sale, with coupons. But don't feel I'm saving that much money.

The clearance items (50% off or more) never seem to have corresponding coupons. Its mostly odd ball items in the clearance bins.

People here have offered to help you... but you have to help them help you. They need examples of the products you are having trouble finding sales on.

How and when will I learn my Sale Cycle? Is that something I'll just take note in my head.. or are you guys actually keeping track by pen and paper and with an actual " method" ?

I am new to this level of couponing but in 6 weeks it appears the Walgreens add has semi repeated itself on some health and beauty aids. It also seems that the grocery stores all have about the same items on sale at the same time. Sorry I'm not much help.
