HELP Printing on backsides of already used paper?

Hello there and I have read in a few topics on this forum that people will print on backsides of already used paper like from junk mail and so on.

Is it actually ok to do so.
I would also like to know about printing on slippery paper.
What I mean is my uncle gets drawing paper from work for his kids for free and my cousin gives me like half a case when my uncle gets the paper. Its gray on (1) side and its kind of thick like photo paper and the gray side is a little slippery.

I was wondering if any one knows if its possible to use this kind of paper.

The reason why I'm asking is for personal use as well as placing some information on my blog about how to be more eco friendly while printing coupons.

I hope this question can make sense to the people who read it so that the question can be answered.

    Thank you and god bless.

Unless I'm printing them specifically to trade I always print coupons on the back of one sided school worksheets my daughter brings home or things that I've printed that I don't need anymore (nothing with personal info of course). I've printed on pastel colored paper as well as white and never had a problem. If I print one coupon from a site I often turn the paper around to print the next one so there is one at one end and an upside down one at the other end. Saves paper that way. You just have to watch for the ones that also print an ad so that it doesn't run into the coupon you've printed at the other side.

If you clip off the first coupon first, that is how you prevent the problem of the add printing on the coupon. Honestly if your printer runs out of paper, it stops printing, saving ink in the long run too!

I have also read online at a different site that it is possible to print more than 1 coupon on each piece of paper by changing the size of the coupons like to business card size that way you can print more than 1 coupon or 2 coupons at a time.If that is att all possible please let me know how thank you and god bless.

That's a good idea! I usually hit the cancel button on the printer to keep the ad from printing

I print on the back of used paper all the time. Haven't had any problems doing that.

My mini dell would print mini coupons lol. I dont know why. But i printed off coupons on the desktop and the same ones on my mini dell and the ones on the dell came out smaller sized lol. kinda funny the mini computer prints mini coupons! Ive used paper that my kids have drew a couple lines on in light blue crayon and such. Never had problems redeeming the coupons. I needed the coupons and i tried to find the best paper i could since they take it all to draw on! Or if one sides blank i use that side because it doesnt matter what it looks like on the back as long as the coupon prints properly! I will turn my papers around and stuff but i have messed up on that with those ads! Live and learn. I would try an unimportant coupon you dont need badly on that paper to test it out. It being slick may or may not work depends on your printer im thinking and you would have to make sure to wait for it to dry before touching it!

I use the back of papers ds brings home from school -- even the ones he has colored on. I also use junk mail as long as there's no identifying information that would end up on the coupon itself.
I figure the coupons you clip from inserts have "junk" on the back, so there shouldn't be anything wrong with having junk on the back of the ones you print.
