Default Do you bring your binder into the store?

I'm embarrassed to admit that I'm too embarrassed to bring my binder into stores. Am I missing deals this way? What do you do? Have you learned to get over it and bring it in? Please share and maybe I'll come out of my shell.

Get over it and bring it in.

Over the last 6.5 years, I would have missed hundreds of clearance and unadvertised deals if the binder was in the car or, worse yet, at home.

My binder fits into a cute Vera Bradley bag along with a smaller accordion file (accordion file holds food coupons and binder holds non-food). I also put my notebook with shopping list in the bag. Bag rides in the cart and I get out the binder when necessary. I really don't think other shoppers notice when I get it out, and it makes me feel better to have all my qs on hand in case I stumble on an unadvertised deal.

I take mine 90% of the time only because I use it as an organization tool.
Sometimes I don't want to be bothered toting it into the store when I only have a few items to buy and just slip the needed coupons into my purse. I no longer worry about missing out on clearance since there seems to be enough sales that I can plan to keep me sane and happy.

I'm not at all embarrassed except when it needs a good scrubbing; it's a lighter green cloth. I would normally go with black, but found this zipper one for $2 several years back and just don't have the heart to spend money on a new one at this time. ;)

Ya know...I NEVER see a binder at the Rainbow I go to. Most of the couponers have just one of those small coupon holders (like the one I have). I actually have a binder at home and generally go through my binder to get the Qs I want/need prior to going shopping. This is one way I keep my cost down. The sale etc are what gets my bill out of hand because I will see something on sale (not on my list) and if I know I have a Q for it, end up buying it. Just getting the Qs I need/want and bring those with me, and then buying the perishable stuff I tend to keep my budget in check.

Not only do I have a binder that I take in every store, I have TWO. I carry them in a bag, not because I am embarrassed, but because it is the easiest way to get them both in the store. Once I am in the store, I take out whichever binder I need, sometimes both. Like pp mentioned, I would have missed out on so many deals if I didnt' carry them with me.

The most recent deal was in Walmart when I went to look at clearanced Christmas. They had Duck Brand Bubble Wrap that ended up being free AC. I used a lot of it to help protect my Christmas decorations when I put them up.

In my defense, I will only bid human beings in the auction forum if it's a MM.

I gotta agree with all the PP's. Just hold your head up high and walk in to the stores, binder in hand.

My zippered binder has a handle on the spine so it's easy to grab and go, but since I usually have my reusable grocery bags with me, usually I carry in my binder in one of those.

When I get to the cart, the binder comes out and gets the seat of honor so if I need to get a coupon it's easily acccessible, plus it's handy for quickly stuffing any blinkies/tearpads/peelies/etc into the front of the binder to be filed when I get home.

I get comments all the time, but they're always good comments.

I carry my binder in a cute tote too. I was a little embarassed by it when I first started couponing but then I started bumping into a few other couponers w/binders too and got over it. Well that is until that crazy show came out and now I feel like I'm getting the "eye." LOL I don't care though. I don't enough money to worry about what people think. I need to use the coupons to provide what my family needs. When I get rich, I'll worry about it then but I'll still use my Q's :)

Mine isn't a binder...it's a box. And YES I take it wherever I go! You know...I'd be embarrassed if I didn't have it with me and missed a sale!
