The sale etc are what gets my bill out of hand because I will see something on sale (not on my list) and if I know I have a Q for it, end up buying it. Just getting the Qs I need/want and bring those with me, and then buying the perishable stuff I tend to keep my budget in check.
This is my answer! I would absolutely love to take my binder into every store I shop at, but at the end of the day, I would be doing way too much impulse buying and NOT saving money. In my early days of couponing (only about a year ago) I took my binder with me everywhere. But, lesson learned; if I leave the binder at home, there is no temptation to spend outside my budgeted amount.

If we weren't actively building our savings right now, I would prefer to go to the store with my list as well as my binder and an extra 50 bucks to throw into great deals on a whim. But, as I am sure most of you know, a budget is very important and sticking to it is how we end up doing well for ourselves in the long run.
