    HELP Organizing Your Gift Cards?

If your someone who has a lot of gift cards, from rebates, coupon deals, surveys, points websites (like mypoints), swagbucks, etc....how do you keep them all organized?

I know some are e-giftcards, but I need help organizing them all.

I thought about getting a recipe box. Like the size of the regular index cards and having a spot for each store..ie. Target, walmart, amazon...etc.

And even for the e-giftcards, I thought about making out a fake giftcard on an index card and sticking it in there, just so I know I have it.

I am trying to save up all my gc for next years Christmas shopping.
GC don't have fees do they and they don't expire right?

Now I was wondering how everyone else organizes their gc's.

    Thanks

I save my GCs up too, to use for Christmas shopping. I just keep them in an envelope in my top dresser drawer, til I'm ready to use them.

If they are regular store GCs, then no, they shouldn't have an expiration date. Just read the back of the card to make sure. But if you get a rebate in the form of a prepaid debit card, those usually do have exp date. What I do with those are convert them to store GCs. I got 4 $10 MC Debit cards from Kelloggs that expired between Oct & Nov of this year, so I bought GCs at several stores, CVS, Target, Winn Dixie. I hate that I would have a card left with some odd amount and forget to use it and then it would expire on me. So now I convert them to store GCs so I can use the full value of the card!!

afa Amazon codes, I just enter them in my account as I receive the code and let it build up til I'm ready to make a purchase.

I never knew you could purchase gc with the beer rebates. I am going to have to do that.

I have a separate wallet that I carry with me that has all of my gift cards in it, along with my store cards that don't have key chain tags. I save most of the gc's for gifts/holidays. I have a spreadsheet that I use to catalog the gift cards, rr's, ecbs that I receive. I add all amazon giftcardds to my amazon account asap and let the value sit on it until I need to buy gifts on amazon.

I don't organize them. I have organizational problems :). So much so that last night when i was at Kroger, i had 2 Kroger GC, i had found in my coupon piles. One has 40c the other was a full $50, my groceries cost me 38c.

I'll be watching this thread for ideas.

I store them in an "altoids" container. Fit perfectly in it and I keep them in my purse.

I have a planner/organizer that serves as my wallet. I have a section in it that is a clear plastic zipper bag that I keep all my giftcards in. DH keeps them in his wallet.

For the e-gift cards and amazon codes, I keep them in a document on my computer with my survey log-ins. I'm online anyway when I use them and then I can copy and paste the codes. I highlight the ones that are used up so that I can see how many I've received that year.
    my 2 cents.
