I use my debit card which earns points that I can redeem for rewards.

I always add any extra money from my budget to my store GCs. Those, I keep for the really good deals that come along on a regular basis. For instance, Mega Deals at Kroger, or regular RR promos at WAG, or Super Doubles at various stores. These also come in handy during leaner times (not very often, but it's nice to have a cushion, just in case).
That said, I'm not real big on having a strict budget. Since I've started couponing and stockpiling, I don't really have to shop much, other than a few food items.
I allow myself a certain amount each week to spend on "whatever" and usually at the end of the week, the balance goes onto the gift cards at my next visit. So, technically I've spent the money, but I also get to spend it again.
I do use a debit card occasionally. Never use credit cards and I rarely carry cash more than $20.

I pay with cash - if I don't have the money at the moment I want to buy it, then I don't need the item.... helps me avoid debt... also, I tend to spend less with cash than a card - you really see your money leaving your wallet when you hand over cold hard cash at the register then a card - which you forget is actually your money... but that's just me.

Hmmm, I'm minority here :-) Pay mostly with credit cards (balance paid every month), small amounts at RA - cash. I don't like paing with cash - I often shop with my twin boys - can't count well when distracted (they ask millions of ?? non-stop - hard focus on anything else)
Use CC mostly because of the rewards (like 3% on gas & grosery)
Like the idea of GC for the store to keep budget under control...

    Um...all of the above?

I rarely carry cash. If I happen to have some, and it's a small purchase, I might pay cash.

I typically use a rewards credit card to pay.

Sometimes, I use our checking account debit card.

Sometimes, I happen to have a gift card. Either DH is given one at work, or there is a gift card bonus (Buy $100, get $10 or $20 OYNO)
