Re: Can someone explain HCW and how it works 1. If you get alot of inserts each week and want to trade coupons to other people on this site.
A. you open a paypal account if you want to receive paypal in exchange for the coupons you have.
B. or you could ask for CC and/or stamps
C. place your coupons for trade on the trading board in this format (an example only)
(have)(10) coupons for $1/1 Colgate Toothpaste expire May 15th, (in search of)paypal handling fee (or stamps or CC). In search of is ISO and "have" is (H). Take offers or tell other traders what you are wanting for your coupons "per coupon". ex: you want .05 per coupon in paypal handling fee for your coupons + an extra .44 for the stamp to mail them.
D. you can also trade your coupons to someone who has coupons you want, but finding a coupon for coupon trade can take time. If you are in a hurry for a sale, just place a wanted ad. Or just offer the coupons you have and ask for PPHF.
2. you only get one or a couple inserts per week and you want to get more of the coupons you can use for your weekly grocery or pharmacy sales.
A. again go to the trading forum and place a thread like this: (wanted)(iso) (15) $1/1 Colgate Toothpaste (have) PPHF (paypal handling fee if you have a paypal account)
In the body of your ads always state what you are seeking or offering, always show the expire dates, and the value of the coupons and how many you have or want.
It's not hard, just decide whether you will get enough inserts to offer coupons to others and try it out.
Or if you will mostly be a trader looking for coupons you need, just place a thread on the trading forum. If you want 15 coupons for $1/1 Colgate just place a thread and be ready to send the person paypal or stamps or CC. They may tell you what they are asking per coupon, or maybe you can negotiate.
you can expect to give, or receive, anywhere from .01 to .05 per coupon for most coupons, depending on when they expire and what they are good for.
Some may run up to .10 per coupon.
You can usually send or receive 50-55 coupons for a stamp.
I've had a trade with as few as 20 require more postage (they were peelies and heavy) and I have mailed as many as 75 for one stamp.
Cut your coupons out as small as you can without ruining the fine print, the UPC code and the expire date. |
