Good question!
You would have to buy three items to be able to use both coupons unless the 1.00/1 is a STORE coupon and that store allows you to use a store and a manufacturer coupon together.
I have been shopping using coupons since Oct of 2009 and have loved all the money I have saved for my family so far. I have saved so much from this site, and learned so many things about coupons. One of the things that I am a little puzzled about is if I have two items say Glade candles then I have 2 coupons. One says (just using examples) .75/2 then the other is $1.00/1. Question is this can I use both of these coupons? Some stores will then you come across some that won't. How do you approach these cashiers when they tell you that you have to get 3 items in order to use these 2 coupons. Or am I suppose to get 3 items in order to use both of these coupons? I would just like to make sure that I am doing this correctly when I am using these type of coupons.
Thank you everyone.....

coupon verbage says you'd have to buy 3. You should never ever only buy 2 items and use those coupons unless *like PP said* one is a store coupon and that specific store allowes you to combine store coupons and Man q's.
Here is a break down:
glade item
glade item
.75/2- This coupon would be used for BOTH those items.
Your 1/1 would need another item.
HTH
Thank you now I know not to whip out those 2 little coupons unless I have 3 items.

Jolly could you explain that again? I am lost..
Unless you are saying to use 2 BOGO coupons then you could use a $1.00/4 coupon or something??
this is absolutley not correct. that's coupon misuse as well.
I believe what she is saying, is You CAN'T use a BOGO coupon (buy 2 items, use a BOGO) you can't use a $/2 coupon in conjunction with the BOGO Q..
Now if you buy 4 items:
item one BOGO q
item 2 BOGO q attaches from item one
item 3 $/2 coupon
item 4 $/2 Coupon attatches from item 3
You could use a BOGO q, and a $/2 coupon....
i see what she is saying i had to re read it a few times
if your going to buy 3 items, let's say.. Tide
tide
tide
tide
and you have BOGO coupons....
Tide-bogo coupon
Tide- BOGO from item 1 attatches
TIde- BOGO coupon CANT be used on this item, as it is a "3rd item"
so buy 4 tides as your getting it for free anyways KWIM?
the way i'm reading this is if the ITEM is on sale at the store for BOGO, make sure you take four to the register...
tide - (buy one) (1.00/2 q)
tide - (get one) free (attaches to the 1.00/2 q???)
tide - (buy one) (.75 q ??? or is this the one that would attach to the 1.00/2q???)
tide - (get one)free
versus taking three to the register because you have a 1.00/2 and a .75/1 coupons...
edited: hmm, looking at it, that still doesn't answer the question on the two coupons lol....(added where i'd put coupons...)
and I thought I had it understood.....
