Default Question on Number of Coupons Used

I am new at this and I have a question. We have stores that do a lot with 10 for $10 - for example 10 Campbell's Condensed Soups for $10.00.
If I have manufacturer's coupons for .40 cents off 2 Condensed soups can I use 5 coupons for this purchase?

Thanks for the answers in advance!

Yes you can. One coupon per item--or in this case since each coupon is off of 2 one coupon per two items.

Also, you do not need to buy 10 items to get the price, usually. It just means each costs $1. Sorry if you knew this, but I have met a lot of people who always thought they had to buy the whole 10.

Welcome and best wishes on many savings.

Thanks for your quick response. This has been so much fun just seeing what I can save. Just wanted to make sure I could use the coupons this way.

You're welcome. Oh it IS fun!! You will have a ball. The longer you do it the better you will get and you will be totally amazed. Keep reading everything on this site to do with the stores you shop at and the members will keep you informed as to all the deals. Also, ask and ask and ask...there is a lot to learn.

it depends on what stores you have.
We have:
Food Lion - I'm not sure their limit.
Bi-Lo - limit of 10 of the same coupon.
Harris Teeter - no limit but I think there is a 20 coupon limit per transaction
Lowes Foods - limit of 4 like coupons.
Bloom - no limit but there may be a 20 limit per transaction
Compare Foods - limit of about 2. I've had trouble using coupons at this store.

what stores do you have?

Check with your local store for their limit on like coupons ( EX. the 5 campbell's coupons.) Some stores will only allow you to use 2 of the same coupons. Others will allow more. But as a rule yes you can use 5 of those coupons to purchase 10 cans of soup.

Also as a rule you do not have to buy the 10/10 in order to get the sale pirce, but some stores will require it. For example one store has sodas 3/$10, but if you only go and get 1, then they charge you full price instead of sale price.
