Shopping List
Hi folks!! I'm am unhappy with the way I do my shopping lists regarding coupons (grocery shopping) I am looking for ideas from you good folks. By ideas I mean more on how you show what coupons you have, dollar amount and expiration date and what ever. I have my list set up as I shop at my favorite store but I am unhappy with the way I show coupons, price matching sales etc. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks, Rich

Re: Shopping List
I use a very low tech system that works really well for me. I think you have to find what fits. I have my coupons in a binder organized by the aisles of the store I most frequently shop at. I use a post it note or tape a cut out ad to the page it applies to. I can write a note on the post it that says how many of something I plan to get, or just the thing itself.
So, it could just say "Granola bars" or it could say "Granola Bars (10)" to note that I have 10 coupons. I sometimes go further and write out the math, so you certainly could do that as well.

Re: Shopping List
I use an excel spreadsheet when I make my weekly shopping list. I have the following categories:
Store| Item |Coupon (# & for how much) |Sale Price Per Item |Final Price
The final price row I use so that if I buy 5 of something I can tally the total for those 5... I stick to a budget so I can highlight that column and click the little SUM button in excel. It'll tell me how much money I've spent.
It's really easy to organize myself this way-- otherwise I'm a mess!
