HELP Help me do this right.

After reading the basics and browsing the site for a bit, I finally figured out you CAN use more than one coupon during one transaction, as long as the coupon does not state that it is prohibited. I'm confused about one thing, though.

I'll use my Progresso coupon I have that I plan on using this week. The coupon is $1 off 4. In the fine print, it states that "No other coupon may be used with this coupon." Does this mean that I couldn't use a catalina with this coupon (I don't have one, but for example sake lol), or that I couldn't buy 4, use this coupon, then buy 4 more and use a coupon with that one?

Giant has Progresso soups (a favorite for DH) 10 for $10 plus I have the $1 off 4. I'd like to buy 8 (as I have two coupons) but want to make sure I can buy 8 and use both coupons I have. :-) Thanks!

Yes you can buy 8 and use the two coupons. The "can't use another coupon with this" is saying that you can't use another coupon for the exact item you are using that coupon for. If you are buying 20 cans of progresso you can use 5 coupons (1 for each set of 4). If you are buying 20 cans of progresso, 1 box of cereal and 1 roll of tp, you can use the 5 $1/4 for the 20 cans of soup, a coupon for the cereal and a coupon for the tp.

You can indeed use both of your $1.00/4 coupons and buy 8 cans of soup!

What the wording "No other coupons may be used with this coupon" means is that you cannot use it with another coupon for the same items.

If you had a catalina coupon that was for example $1.00/2 progresso soups you would not be able to combine that coupon with another coupon because in essence it is a manufactures coupon (Although you can only use it at the store it was issued at unless you have a store that accepts competitor store coupons or otherwise state that they will accept them from other stores)

But..if you had a Catalina coupon for $1.00 off your next order you could use that because that coupon is not tied to the 4 cans of progresso that you are buying.

So in a nutshell...you can use (2) $1.00/4 manufacture coupons and get 8 cans of soup! - Enjoy!

Yay!!!! Thank you. That clears things up for me. Now to reorganize my coupons so that all the like coupons are together!

Now another question. If Giant is having a sale on Yoplait Yogurt 10/$5, and I have a buy 6, get one free coupon, would one of the 10 count as the free or would I get 11? As in buy the 6 required for the coupon, would the free one count as yogurt 7 or not count at all? I ask because I have two of these coupons and have no idea how best to work them.

If the yogurt is on sale 10/$5, most of the time that means it is really .50 each whether you buy 10, 11, 4 or 2. Sometimes there will be a sign or note that says "must buy 10" to get the price but that's not very common.

So, you could buy 6 at .50 each and get the 7th free if you want. Or you could buy 12 at .50 each, get 13 and 14 free, etc.

tmsmally is right that in most cases when something is priced 10 for $5.00 the price is really just $0.50 and you do not need to purchase 10 to get it at that price. (This applies to most sales like 10 for $10 or 2 for $3, etc)

But if you are going to buy 10 yogurts, the free item would count at #7.
