QUESTION Question about Price Book

Hello from a newbie!

Now, I understand the importance of having a Price Book after doing some research about it. Could I use the store weekly ad forum as a paramter to create a Price Book? I am a newbie and do not have price history data and It will be very easy to get this info from each store forum.

I am so excited about couponing that it has become my new obsession.

Thank you very much for this valuable resource.

Default Re: Question about Price Book

You MIGHT be able to do that, yes, but it might be difficult to get a good comparison of prices because you really need the size of the item. When you record items in a price book, you should record the price AND the size of the item so that you can get a price per unit (the $$ paid divided by number of ounces, pounds, etc...) That way you can accurately compare the price of say... the big mega pack at Sam's Club with the regular size you buy at the regular store.

If the flier contains the size info or you know it because you use the product all the time, then yes you could do it that way. But otherwise it might be tough to get all the info you need. (One other thought... if your store does online shopping or express service, sometimes you can use the Web site to find the size on things you don't know.... I use Harris Teeter's Express Lane web site that way all the time...)

Thank you very much suesaving for taking the time to answer my question! You are totally right!, I was not seen the importance of the unit size when comparting price between stores and same items with different size. I should have known that as an Engineer, LOL.

Thank you again!
