How do you know if a store doubles or triples your coupon. My mom told me this once and Im not sure if my superwalmart does it or not.

Nope, SWM doesn't double. What grocery stores do you have in your area? Someone else may be able to help (not familiar with whats in NH) or you could go to the individual store sub-forums and read the FAQs or store policies...

We have Hannafords, Shaw's, Stop and Shop, and Market Baskets. Those are the ones I know off the top of my head. The only in my town/closeby is hannafords and they are super pricey so thats why Igo to wallyworld.

When it's triple coupons the store makes up the differnece in the face value and the two other values. Correct? Just needing some confirmation.

My Kroger manager told me that when they double the second value comes from the store and is not reimbursed by the manufacturer. hth

Right. Any store that doubles or triples takes the hit themselves on any amount over what the coupon agrees to. So, if you have a .50 manf. q, the manf. pays them .50, and if they double, they take a .50 loss (or $1 loss for a triple). Same as they would for a store coupon.

The reason a store will take that loss is because for most people, you'll come in and spend your .50 coupon because there's a big triple sale, they'll take a $1.00 loss, but you'll also buy another $80 worth of stuff and they'll end up many dollars ahead.

I don't know where you are in SW MO. I'm in Willard. Harter House just this past week had triples up to .49. I didn't go. I didn't have that many low value coupons on things that I really needed. Also, I think their prices are a bit higher so even with coupons I didn't really feel it was worth it. But hey at least it was some sort of triple action!!

yes, the double or triple value is a store promotion and is generally paid by the store
