Default Using coupons on travel size toiletries

How do you do this? Does this concept also work for single serve cereals?

As long as the Q does not specify a size i.e. a P&G usually says cannot use on a certain ml or oz size, then you should be able to use it on a travel size. I look for Q's that say 'off any'. I would think that a Q like this would work on the single size cereals too.

If the coupon does not specifiy a size, or exclude any particular size such as travel, trial, etc, you can use it on trial size, and yes that includes single serve cereal cups.

This doesnt happen often but be prepared to encounter some cashiers who really dont care that the coupon says any but rather will look at the picture and make up their mind it cannot be used.

This used to scare me away from using coupons on travel sizes but now... well I have that couponer "thick skin" and I just say whatever and go on to the next store :)

Be sure to check individual locations within a store chain. I just found a CVS that has the Gillette Satin Care trial sizes for $0.99. Elsewhere I find it for $1.69/1.89, even at Target.

I got 10 coupons from Ebay today for Suave skin therapy(any size). I paid $1.49 for them and went to walmart and bought 10 3 oz. bottles that were $.97 and paid nothing for them except my original ebay price. The coupon looked nothing like the lotion I bought. (actually got free) but the cashier marked the coupons that were a dollar down to the price they actually were. I got more coming that I will do the same thing with. They do not say travel or trial size on the coupon so they work. Don't be afraid to scope out the smaller versions of things.

I use the 1.00 coupon on those Cheerio "bowls" that Target sells. My kids think those are big treat. Some how they taste "better" than the cereal that comes out of the box.

Is there a list anywhere of things to get free?

I used some Purell coupons recently for the travel size. No size was specified on the coupons, and they were for $1. So I tracked down some 1 oz. bottles that were selling for $1 and got them all free.

Default Not sure if this is the right place - travel vs. trial size

What's the difference? Can you use a Q that says "excluding trial size" on a travel size item? I'm making gift bags for a few girls I'll be going to the beach with in a few weeks, and would love to use some of my Qs that say "excluding trial size" to get some travel size stuff for free to add to the bags.
