Default How many of you subscribe

to other websites that offer grocery lists, deals, etc...??

Just wondering how beneficial it is and if once you learn how to manuver around this amazing website, if you really need anything else??

THanks for your feedback on this.

I am new at couponing. I have only been doing it for a month. What actually helped me the most was finding a couple blogs. They inspired me and helped me search and find other things including this web site.

I'd say once people figure out how to be here and work their way through this, they bag on other sites, especially the sites where people have to pay to join - information should be free.

I have been looking at those sites for a while now, but could never make myself pay to subscribe. HCW provides even more info than they do, without paying for it. I don't even pay for magazine subscriptions! LOL

I joined that site for 1 month then I found this site. Its not worth paying for so I ended my membership. You can get more and better info on this site for free.

There is no way I would pay for something when I can get it for free! Before I discovered HCW, I saw that website over and over again, but just couldn't wrap my head around paying for the information. It's not worth it.

I don't bother with any of the paid sites. I do participate in other couponing sites but this is my "home."

When I first started, I found it overwhelming here. A few things that helped: I use the thread or forum tools to subscribe to the forums or threads I want. Then I can find them quickly in the User CP. I also just click "new posts." That way I see all the active threads & can discover new forums (I just skip the forums that don't pertain to my area).

ETA: I made a lot of use out of the "Getting Started" forum, in particular the Couponing 101+ & similar series of articles. There's a great one about building a stockpile (stockpiling basics?) that was a good starting point. Here's the link; it was put together by the most excellent MrsPinecone:

I actually found this site through a frugal lifestyle forum, and I pretty much just stick to this place and blogs for information. I mainly just read some of the blogs to see some personal stories to help me stay motivated.

I don't pay to belong to any site...couponing or otherwise! This was the first couponing site I found, and I haven't gone looking for anything else since I did. There's just so much info here for free...why would I want to pay someone to give me info?

I know you didn't ask...but I feel the same about basketball websites too. There are a few that I read every day, that give me tons of info. And there's a chatboard for my favorite team, where I can get info that's not on the media websites. Several sites charge you to look at stats on the teams, etc. But I can't figure out why anyone pays for that!
