I rely primarily on HCW to find the deals- but find info on blogs from people in my area very helpful (unpaid).

I found HCW almost a year ago and looked at some other sites at the same time, but quickly ditched them.

I honestly think that if you use other sites, it will slow your progress here. There is a LOT of info here and just learning how to find what you need takes time and lots of looking, reading and poking around.

One of the paysites, in my opinion, is inferior to this site in that they assume you will use a coupon when it comes out and if a deal carries over or is repeated before the coupon expires, the coupon is not mentioned again. Here, you are told about the coupon in the store forums until the coupon expires, thus increasing the opportunity to save some $$$ that you might have missed or passed on the first time. This one fact was the deciding factor for me.

I don't remember if the other sites had a coupon database, but I would bet my life that it isn't as awesome as the one here. There's just soooo much you can do with the database, if you use it to the fullest extent.

I've only been back couponing for about 2 months now and I did sign up and pay at another place to receive their paper mag and their forum. Then I found HCW and I will not be paying for the other place. This place has more info and doesn't seem to be
as much drama as the other place.

I have the subscribed threads to my stores here, and I use google alerts for anything else I'm looking for. Usually I can just skim them and see what's on sale around my area in a couple of minutes, and that'll pretty much determine if I shop that week. I don't have a car and with all my 7 kids now, I avoid it like the plague.

Dh stocks up on staples at Costco, I go to a produce store once every 2 weeks, then I get out if there's a great deal on something we use a lot and stock up on it.

I did find a nice little site last week which lists only the bogo sales in all the areas, but I just got an email saying they're selling the website. I thought that was a good idea for anyone who's into blogging.

I just subscribed to shoplocal, which posts all the sales items on non food items around your area every week. This is great if you're in need of shoes, or clothes or anything else. I never go out to the stores so it can be difficult if someone is in need of anything. I don't even have time to look at fliers anymore.
