How do you use a BOGO coupon with a BOGO or BOGO1/2 offer. My neighbor does it all the time, but she's out of town.

I've always wondered about the BOGO1/2 offer. I know that with a BOGO coupon and a BOGO offer, you get two free items per coupon, one from the store and one from the manufacturer.

If you buy one item, would you get 3 free?
1.customer buys
2. store buys
3. manufacturer buys
4. store buys

You would buy 2 items - paying for only 1/2 of one.

For example - 2 "Super X's" (made up name) at $2 each
Store Sale - BOGO 1/2 off = Buy 1 - $2 , get one $1
BOGO Coupon = Get the $2 one free, when you buy the $1 one lol

Do you only purchase 2 and with the sale and the coupon, walk out with paying nothing? Or are you supposed to purchase 4?

Also, on BOGO 1/2 sale in conjunction with a BOGO coupon, do the same rules apply as above?

I think it depends on the store. At the CVS where I shop, 2 items end up being free if they're on sale BOGO free and I use a BOGO free coupon. Just try it using the best scenario (free, of course) and see what happens.

Let's assume you've got a bogo coupon for sprite 2 liters.

You go to the store, and get 2 sprite 2 liters, for each bogo coupon. Because the coupon is seperate from the store sales, they cancel eachother out.

This works especially well at stores that require the swipe of a card, instead of the price showing on screen, and can occasionally be ymmv... I've had a cashier tell me that I can use the coupon, but will have to BUY one, and I'd get 2 free (one from sale, one from coupon) but that rarely happens.

In short, for a bogo coupon, you simply need to buy 2 items. You have 2 bogo coupons, you'll need 4 items, etc.

I'm asking this here because I'm a newbie when it comes to this area of couponing!!! I've been doing the basic stuff for a few months now and I think I've got it down. It's the BOGO that throws me off. Is it all it's cracked up to be? I know it sounds like a stupid question. But until I found HCW I never knew how much I could save. So I know there's got to be more to it. Is there a thread to read? Should I do all the BOGOs I can with a q for both items? It just makes me so confused. I have to say my grocery store has Loreal kids shampoo BOGO and I have q's to make it free. I had no idea I could do that until I read it here. So that is the kind of stuff I want to read. I feel like I'm missing some good sales because I afraid I don't know how to do them correctly. What about BOGO sales with BOGO Q's what's that do??????:shrug7::shrug7::shrug7: OH MY ACHING HEAD!!!!

If something is BOGO at a store, you can use a BOGO coupon and you will get both items free. HTH
