Easy deals if you don't have many coupons yet

Queenofthehivemomof5 started a thread like this awhile back, but people stopped posting so it got deleted. The idea was to post some simple deals for newbies who don't have a lot of coupons collected yet. There are several easy deals out there in my area so I figured I'd post them in one place.

    Mod Edit by Cin42382 8/20/08:

Since a sale from a month ago isn't going to help newbies that join today, I'm going to try to keep this thread recent. All deals should be currently going on or no more than 2 weeks old so that the newbies can get at least the "idea" of what kind of deals to start out with.

    Mod edit by Manders13 01/29/09:

Folks, To make easier on me and Cin i am going to ask that this is kept to a DEAL ONLY thread. All questions need to be posted in the other threads (or start a new one if you cant find a thread that answers your question)
Alot of questions i have ran across have to do with cvs. As much as we would LOVE to keep ya here all to ourselves.. there is an entire forum dedicated to cvs for newbies located here: http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/cvs-need-hand-were-here-help/

If you have a specific store question, feel free to pm me or cin personally and we will point ya in the right direction. So please keep this thread strictly to deals that are easy to grab with little coupons.

    Thanks!

My deal is at CVS this week. Colgate Total is $2.99 and you get $2.99 back in ECB's. There are coupons out for $1/1 and .75/1 check the database for them. So, you first buy 2 Colgate get $5.98 in ECB's. Take those and get 2 single bars of Neutrogena soap at $2.99 ea. That will generate a $10 ECB. So for your initial $5.98 you get not only the 2 toothpaste and 2 bars of soap but you now have $10 to spend.

Walgreens this week (through today, 3/7) has the Colgate Max toothpaste on sale for $3.29, but it generates a $3.50 Register Reward. Even with no coupons, you make $0.21, but if you have a coupon (like the $0.75 off Colgate toothpaste coupon), it's even better!
