Hi jenniejadin - - I feel your pain about most couponing sites being targeted to different parts of the country - - frustrating! I recently moved from Milwaukee, where I had lived for 15 years, so here is what I found to work best in that area:
1. Buy the Waukesha Freeman if you can. It is a smaller, local paper sold in Waukesha for just $0.75 per paper, and typically includes ALL the regional coupons. It includes the Red Plus, Smart Source, and P&G. Awesome deal, way better than the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. PLUS, it comes out on Saturdays, which gives you an extra day to get organized before the new deals come out on Sundays!
2. Shop at CVS. Obviously, people all have different preferences, but I found CVS's deals and Extra Care Bucks program to save me more than any other store. It was commonplace for me to get Pampers diapers for free to $3 per pack (normally $8.99 or so), Enfamil formula for less than $15 per can (normally $23+), cheap soda ($1/12-pk of Coke), and many items for free (including things like toothpaste, contact solution, etc). Make sure to sign up your Extra Care card for emails, and you'll get lots of dollar-off coupons that you can use in addition to other coupons. I know some people swear by shopping at Walgreens, but I found CVS to have better customer service and to be more accepting of couponers. Just my experience.
Hope that helps you and some other WI couponers. I'd love to see the sites everyone else is using to plan their couponing deals each week, or to hear any other tricks of the trade, especially from Wausau-area couponers!
Jennifer
