Any Jacksonville,NC Couponers?

I was wondering if there are any couponers here in the Jacksonville area. I ran into another couponer at Target in the baby/health section last Friday. But was in a hurry and did not catch her name (stupid weather).
I would love to meet up with anyone.

I have just started couponing and in jacksonville, nc area, and am trying to find someone to go around with and get some more help with it. I don't know if it's the area too, but there is not much sales you can do. Might be due to not enough competition to have to really worry about changing pricing too much. Once in awhile I can find something or I'm still doing it wrong. If you would like to get together.

It has to do with the area and there are A LOT of couponers/deal hunters in the area. Every so often I am able to get some of the weekly deals, but more often than not, I'm getting rain checks.
Let me know when you would like to get together. Give me a couple days notice, I have a toddler, I'm in school and volunteer on base. I would be more than happy to help you.

Hello! I'm bran-new to the site. I live in Jacksonville as well and am trying to learn how to be a savvy couponer! I actually live right inside the Richlands city limits. I'm not sure if it's just my area but I've gotten newspapers from several places and it seems there are NEVER hardly any insterts in them. Anyone else run into this. I have found some online but I'm still trying to learn my way around. I would love to meet and talk with some other couponers around here and get any advice or even learn together!

Hi all, I'm new to couponing..period, lol. I've been trying to start up but I haven't been able to find a newspaper here in jacksonville that carries the circulars. Does anyone know where to get a decent newspaper around here? I live on base (as my husband is a marine) near Camp Lejeune I also went online to see if any nearby larger city newspapers deliver out here but couldn't...quite frustrating to say the least. Thanks!

Hi! I'm in Jacksonville also :) Prettttttyyy new at this, but I'm starting to get the hang of it I started doing this to save money while the hubs is deployed, and I've become quite addicted.

The papers around here are *horrible*! 90% of my coupons are printed I'm actually entertaining the idea of driving to Wilmington on Sunday to get some papers because they'll have the P&Gs in them :)

Sorry for my lapse in response ladies and gentlemen, Dh just got home from deployment and I was finishing up 2 5wk classes w/UNCW. I am back and ready to tackle this part of my life again.
For those that are wondering where to get a paper that carries the circulars, the J'ville Daily News carries the SmartSource only and is different from the Raliegh or Wilmington papers. The New Bern paper does carry the circulars but stops delivery around Maysville (I think). The Raleigh N&O does get delivered out here, but at only a hand full of places. The question becomes how early do you want to get up?
I've got to my regular place at around 630-7am and they are gone!!! Couponing has really taken off here in J'ville and its a mad house. My suggestion would be to order your inserts or start asking family and friends to mail you their inserts (my grandmother sends me hers from TN).

USMCnelbow-> don't give up. It can be frustrating, I know; but its well worth it. I started couponing a couple months after we got here from Hawaii. I was 5mos pregnant and in college. It can be done. Just give it time. I'm still in college, had the baby who is now 2 (and possibly preggo again) and getting ready for a move. It does take some time to get used to how everything works. You will miss deals, but there will always be more deals (and sometimes even better). Until you find what works for you, it will be a bit frustrating.

Where do you usually shop. I was just shopping at walmart with coupons but this weekend I am venturing to food lion to give that a shot. I've loaded their coupons to my MVP card and am going to use insert and printed coupons as well. If any of you have any tips I'd love to hear them! Thanks!
