Re: Looking for a coupon buddy in Northern Virginia
Well, I'm back in Alexandria/Lorton now! I'm super excited, but now it would require effort to shop at a HT. I'm looking forward to the farmer's markets, though, and growing a few of our own vegetables.

Re: Looking for a coupon buddy in Northern Virginia
Hello Ladies, found this old thread, but wanted to post. I am in Burke & ready after about two years of a break to start serious couponing again. From reading this thread it sounds like the Fairfax Times is something I need to look into finding--- we got a paper to the house recently, but I want to find a stand of them nearby... Also anyone in this area do recycle bin diving? Thanks! <3

Re: Looking for a coupon buddy in Northern Virginia
Hey, I am in the Northern Virginia Area as well. Usually shop in Prince William. I have checked out a few sites and it's easy to get the hang of couponing. The show "Extreme Couponing" on TLC is manyly entertainment. I read an article by one of the lady shoppers. But, this can still be done.

Ladies, it sounds like we're all much inside a 25 mile radius. Coupon buddies R Us. This would be great to trade coupons too!

Re: Looking for a coupon buddy in Northern Virginia
Hi Ladies,
I took a break from couponing but now I'm trying to get into it. It would be great to set up something where we could meet and trade coupons or maybe get together for a shopping trip day.
I really need help figuring out how to pay the least oops especially now that I've decided to focus on getting things that I will use or possibly donate. I have a limited amount of storage space so I have to get what I need.
I get the Fairfax Times and I was wondering if those are the same inserts that come out in the regular paper because sometimes there seems to be coupons mentioned that are not in the inserts I have. I know it could just be a regional thing though.
Anyway, nice to meet you all

Re: Looking for a coupon buddy in Northern Virginia
I am right there with you! I have been doing this on and off for about a year now, but am still not GREAT at it. I work full-time and don't have a lot of time to dedicate to it (like the crazy folks on the Extreme Couponing TV show), but would be greatful for the help and company of other people in the area. I also don't have a lot of space to stock pile huge amounts and don't feel like I need to go that far with it. I would just like to save money on my regular spending. I am in Centreville/Fairfax. I get the Washington Post.

Poking my head in this thread to say "Hi." from Stafford.
What you all are talking about sounds great, but it doesn't seem that there are many HCWers in the Stafford area.

Re: Looking for a coupon buddy in Northern Virginia
Hi all. I too am from Stafford. I've noticed a lot more coupon action in CVS and Bloom around here. Seems like when I go for all of the good deals, they're all gone!!
I try to get 1 paper each week. I too don't always seem to have the coupons that are listed on some boards? I'd love to be able to start stock piling. Our income has gone down. I know it will take time, but excites me!! I'd love to be able to trade coupons too and share ideas!!!

Re: Looking for a coupon buddy in Northern Virginia
I'm here too! I'm brand new to this but my friend's sister is a hardcore couponer on the West Coast and I've been dying to get into it. Hubby and I have low salaries for this area (work in public interest) and with a 4 month old the budget is tight. Even a little savings would make a big difference for us!
My friend uses Coupon Sense out West - you pay $10 a month and it sends you a list of sales at your local stores that match recent coupons. Is there anything like that for our area? Or do you ladies just do your own research and get tips from the boards? Thanks!
