I am from the greater vancouver BC AREA and I do enjoy my visits to your [seattle] area,I use to stay at the clairmount hotel when it was a fire trap, now I under stand the the room rates are out of this world,boy ,it must be a grand place now , and is that coffee shop still there across the street ,? I know the coffee shop across from the old bus station is no longer there It since became a parking lot,. kitty corner from the vance hotel.,another find hotel ,or use to be ,when they took our dollar at par and the rooms were much bigger now in stead of one big room ,there are now two..,and threw in a ''free' breakfast to boot, oh,the good times in seattle.

the only ones that double are albertsons, on occasion, not every week, sometimes on sunday, and sometimes in the tuesday flyer..they will include coupons that will "match your manufacture coupons up to and including $1.00" we got none last sunday, and doesn't look like any coming this sunday.....just have to watch the thread for NW albies to see.

I'm in Oregon (Portland Metro). I have been terrorizing the local Rite Aids, Safeways, and Albertsons for the past few months. What I have found is:

Safeway weekly AD has "coupon" to use with 4 MFG coupons and they will double up to $.50 for a total of $2.00.

Have not found this recently but, when I was doing this years ago (about 5), Safeway would occasionally put in the Sunday paper what they called "triples" this is actually a true double. These "triples" would increase the $.50 to $1.00 for anywhere from 4 to 10 MFG coupons.

Albertsons will put 3 doubles in their weekly ads on occasion. These will double a MFG coupon up to $1.00 for a total of $3.00.

Albertsons will also put inserts in the Sunday paper with 3 doubles good for 3 days (Sunday to Tuesday). These have been fairly consistant. I get my Tuesday paper with the grocery store ads and then wait until Sunday for the doubles.

Both Albertsons and Safeway have put $10 off $50 coupons in the Sunday paper. Sometimes in the Tuesday food section. Safeway does the $10 off $50 more than Albertsons.

A few tips/tricks. I check the Tuesday Food Day section for extra coupons (store and MFG).

I also check the first section of the Sunday paper. Safeway and Albertsons like to hide doubles and $10 off $50 coupons there.

I get the Oregonian newspaper and the Sunday Statesman Journal (Salem). Couldn't hurt to check the Seattle Times and other local papers (I'd check them for at least 4 - 6 weeks).

I'm on the Kitsap Peninsula and am new to serious couponing. It seems impossible to get the huge discounts like I've seen on TV... $600+ of groceries for $2.95!! I spend a lot of time comparing prices and most of the time when I get to the store with a coupon it's cheaper to pay full price for the store brand. I'm willing to learn tho or figure it out with someone else.

Safeway up here doesn't put the 50 cent doublers in our ads like southern WA & OR get.

Even without stores that double continuely there are still deals to be had. Just watch the forums for the stores you have locally and jump on the deals when they come around. March should be good for frozen food deals so get those coupons ready!

i am in everett, and albertsons here do double occasionally, coming in this sundays paper, actually, and I have been told will be for next several weekends until end of month......3 coupons that can match with your manufacture coupon up to and including $1...also, on tonight's episode of extreme couponing, my frined amber from lynnwood is on...need any help, have questions, etc..pm me

oh, and I started my own coupon club here 1.5 years ago..we are now 30 strong, and growing...so place an ad on craigslist, or your library board, or where ever, and start one!!! can be done!!
