| | Re: Springfield, MO Coupon Swap Ok, let me clarify this a bit . . . .you don't NEED any coupons to come and participate . . .if you have some you aren't using go ahead and feel free to bring . . .

| | Re: Springfield, MO Coupon Swap Then you know it is hard to get good coupons here . . . and even harder to find good deals as we really don't have many chain grocery stores . . .ok . . .one. Dillions. That's sort of a Kroger store . . . . .
That's it for grocery!
The local paper is sad, too. Not worth the full retail, IMHO ($1.87 a for a small paper?)
A lady I know has a paper route and was shocked when I asked her for the inserts! ??? She's like --- people use these???
Anyway . . . .they are kind of a mess . . .I have the whole classified sections . . .lots of digging and sorting will be required . . . .
To much trouble to sort and trade . . . .

| | Re: Springfield, MO Coupon Swap actually I lived in Missouri back when Albertson's was still around, from 1997-2000. And I never used coupons then.
Well okay not never. Once I had a coupon for $0.55 off of oreos, and they were on sale for $1, so I got them for $0.45. The clerk was gushing that it was such a good deal, and I kept thinking "yeah too bad I can only do it once." |

| | Re: Springfield, MO Coupon Swap No Albies here now. And another big grocery shut down last year.
Just PriceCutter/Rameys, Dillons, Alps, Aldis, the dent/bang places a F4L that is not a chain one.
At least we have Walgreens now and one lonely CVS!
Yeah!
Oreos for $1? That would be nice!

| | Re: Springfield, MO Coupon Swap However, your CVS is huge compared to mine in St Jo MO. I think it used to be an Osco Drug store maybe? I was there once passing through and couldn't believe how big it was. I bought the Sunday paper there and it had the same inserts we have here. The tightwad owners of the papers must be friends, or maybe the same person. They must have to pay for the inserts, that's the only thing I can think of that would be the difference between the St Jo and KC inserts, and believe me, there's a huge difference.

| | Re: Springfield, MO Coupon Swap Yes, our CVS is the old Osco . . . .It is the only one I've ever seen . . . .so I can't compare it really. A lot of the stuff still has the Osco stickers, though, especially the "gifty" type knick-knacks and we have a lot of those. Might be a big building, they still can't stock the deals though! LOL!
Yes, I agree, the paper here is bad. The KC papers are hard to find, sometimes -- but it is even cheaper than the local SPFLD paper! Go figure!
I have some friends who coupon because they really NEED to, budget wise.
This is why I just decided to ROAK these coupons for the taking.
